The YWCA New Hampshire is actively seeking front desk volunteers available weekdays to greet clients and answer the phones at our front desk reception area. We are looking for individuals who enjoy interacting with people and are willing to learn about the programs offered at the YWCA to be able to answer questions and assist clients. In addition, the YWCA is seeking crisis line volunteers to answer our 24-hour crisis line. Shifts are available during the weekend and at night and are extremely flexible. We require you to have reliable transportation and insurance as well as an open mind and an open heart. A non-judgmental attitude is required. A free, thirty-hour training is provided and two shifts per month are expected. Training starts in September so be sure to contact the YWCA today!
In addition to our volunteer opportunities, the YWCA hosts students from area colleges and universities as interns in our crisis services. We recruit, interview and train interns for the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters. Our Intern Advocates receive 30 hours of required training, must have reliable transportation and insurance and perform the following duties:
We also seek an intern for our Youth and Community Programs. Working with the Coordinator, the intern will provide assistance in marketing, community outreach, youth training, resource development and event planning.
