The Key To Success Is Teamwork
Manchester Community College recognized the YWCA New Hampshire for having positively impacted their students’ learning experiences through exemplary efforts in mentoring for leadership and service during 2008-2009.
Manchester Community Television Star of 2009 Award
In honor of Monica Zulauf’s contribution to the MCTV mission: “MCTV will be the accessible Media Source of choice to celebrate the Greater Manchester Area and promote a sense of socially responsible, multicultural, mutigenerational connectedness to ensure the highest level of educated, responsible citizenship.”
Alfred P. Sloan Award for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility
Families and Work Institute, with partner organizations the Center for Workforce Preparation, an affiliate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and the Center for Emerging Futures and sponsor Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, announced the YWCA New Hampshire as a 2009 Sloan Award winner for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility, to recognize and honor the YWCA New Hampshire for successfully using flexibility to meet both business and employee goals.
2008 Outstanding Advocates Award
The NH Bar Association DOVE Project awarded Pat LaPan, YWCA Crisis Services Coordinator, for providing outstanding advocacy to victims of domestic and sexual violence.
2009 Certificate of Appreciation
The NH Bar Association awarded to the YWCA Crisis Service Advocates for the level of diligence and attention to detail used when completing and submitting applications for assistance on behalf of victims.
UNH Community Leadership Program, Community Leadership Award
The UNH Community Leadership Program awarded the Community Leadership Award to Katie Schelzel for providing a model of outstanding community leadership and for contributing to the growth and development of the next generation's leaders.
The Union Leader 40 Under Forty, Class of 2010
The Union Leader 40 Under Forty and Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire awarded Katie Schelzel as one of the 40 honorees in the class of 2010.
Champion for Children, 2010
Diane Larochelle, YWCA Education and Outreach Coordinator, was one of 12, 2010 Champion for Children honorees, an award given to recognize outstanding community advocates who are doing exceptional work in protecting and enhancing the lives of abused children and families. Diane was recognized by Governor John Lynch and Attorney General Michael Delaney at the April 12, 2010 award breakfast, held by the Child Advocacy Center of Rockingham County.
